Mossop’s Manuka honey is a blend honey sourced from various areas throughout the North Island from the Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium), which is commonly referred to as Tea tree.
Manuka varies in colour from light to dark amber and has a strong herbaceous flavour.

We pride ourselves in not over-filtering, over-processing, over-heating, or over-stirring our honey and our customers around the world love the natural taste and integrity that is maintained through our minimal processing system. Yes our honey is raw and our honey has nothing added to it.
Thank you for your inquiry. This is our red label honey, it is standard Manuka, which is not UMF rated and we do not make claim to this on the label. However, this product often tests with as a low grade UMF honey between UMF4 to UMF6. It is Manuka Honey blended with other bush honeys.
Our purple label product with UMF5+ or UMF10+ on the label, is most definitely a UMF Manuka Honey and meets all the requirements to be called this. Our UMFHA licence number is 1021.
